The construction of the UNICARagil vehicles is gathering some speed!
For the first time it was possible to control all four dynamics modules individually on the autoELF prototype via the middleware developed in the project, the Automotive Service-oriented Software Architecture. Wheel-individual services for driving, steering and braking enable unconventional forms of movement, such as driving sideways or turning on the spot. Inside the vehicle, there is currently still a test driver who has absolute control over the system - but in the near future, these maneuvers will be possible in a fully automated and driverless manner.
